Thank you for visiting our site! My name is Danny Offenbacher and I’m the Founder of City of Paws Pet Care, a professional dog walking & pet sitting company based in Manayunk, Philadelphia.

My love for animals stems back to early childhood, when I first felt a special connection with animals. I started walking dogs and pet sitting for neighbors and family friends at 10 years old and dreamed of owning my own business. When I was in high school, I started a pet care company in my hometown of Rochester, Michigan. By the time I was in college, I had established a client base of over 200 pet owners.  After graduating from college with a degree in Human Resources, I took a job in Philadelphia and handed off my business to new owners.  I quickly started to miss my daily interaction with animals and began planning a re-entry into the pet care industry. In 2016, I decided it’s time I get back to doing what I love most – being with animals and managing a business that’s mission is to ensure family pets are loved, cared for and completely comfortable while their owners are away.

I’m thrilled to provide pet owners with the ease of mind that their four-legged family members are in the best hands while they're away. At City of Paws Pet Care, you’ll get to know my team and I personally. We want to build a personal connection with you and your pets and love them as if they were our own. Thank you for considering City of Paws Pet Care for your pet care needs. I look forward to speaking with you about how we can help!

Sincerely,

Danny Offenbacher, Founder & CEO

Chelsea Andreoni , Office Manager My name is Chelsea and I’m a Pet Sitter at City of Paws Pet Care! I have always loved animals and grew up surrounded by them which is probably why I now have five of my own! I have three cats, a rescued 14 year old chihuahua mix, and I recently just acquired a bearded dragon. I love working for City of Paws Pet Care because I love being able to care for and connect with animals every day!

JJ Weinberger, Lead Pet Caregiver My name is JJ and I am thrilled to join the City of Paws pet care team! I am a lifelong animal lover and aspiring nurse. I am so excited to be able to work with animals and spend time outdoors in the fresh air while I work towards my degree. In my free time, I love to experiment with new vegetarian recipes, hike the Wissahickon trails, and read lots and lots of books. My husband, Dylan, and I currently share our home with our senior Shih Tzu, Kiwi, and our bunny, Dolly. In the near future I plan to find a rabbit companion for Dolly, and someday I hope to have enough land to welcome chickens, goats, pigs and horses to our family. With my varied background in anthropology, customer service, child care, and consulting, I have cultivated valuable experiences which will help me to provide individualized and compassionate care to each client. I look forward to meeting all of your precious pets!

Ashley Neelis, Pet Caregiver My name is Ashley and I am thrilled to be a pet sitter and part of the City of Paws Pet Care team. I have been a huge animal lover all of my life and I have owned/cared for just about every pet you can think of. I grew up in Michigan, in a family of veterinarians so of course we had many animals such as horses, goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, a parrot, an iguana, and even a pet rat! Over the years, I retained a lot of knowledge about animals and their health, which has helped me significantly when caring for other peoples pets. I currently have two long haired chihuahuas, Mac and Tincey who mean everything to me. We just moved to Manayunk from VA so we are anxious to meet new people and their pets. I have been pet sitting for many years and I always treat each pet like they are my own and part of our family. I can't wait to meet you and you're 4-legged friends!

Mike Kelley, Pet Caregiver My name is Mike Kelley and I'm excited to be a part of the City of Paws team. I was brought up in a family that adored animals, at one point having upwards of 10 cats and 5 dogs. We had so many pets that our family license plate read ZOOKPR. I went to school for psychology at the University of Maine, a major that has been endlessly useful for working with dogs and humans. I look forward to working with my clients and their beloved animal companions!

Brooke Warren, Pet Caregiver My name is Brooke Warren and I am thrilled to join the City of Paws Team! My passion has always involved bettering the lives of animals and their humans. Realizing my love for the animal community at a young age, I maintained walking and sitting for dogs, cats, parrots, rabbits, and rats/gerbils since childhood. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Susquehanna University and began a Masters program in Behavior Analysis at Temple University shortly after. I quickly realized it wasn’t the humans I was interested in, it was caring for their animals! Now I am pursuing a Masters in Management at Wilmington University and hope to learn more about how I can help this growing community of animal lovers! I am the lucky pet-mom to a rescued lab-hound mix, Murphy (featured above), and a rescue tabby-mix, Marco (who didn’t have time for a photo shoot). I look forward to working with you and your four-legged family members!

Paige Andersen, Pet Caregiver My name is Paige and I am incredibly excited to be a part of the City of Paws team! Pets have always been my biggest passion and I've dreamed of making them my career. As a child, I was always walking the neighbor's dogs and as a teenager, I became the go-to pet sitter for my family. Through working in pet retail for seven years, I gained a lot of knowledge about pet products, care, and behavior. Currently, I am working on a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising at Temple University. My partner and I share our home with two spoiled cats. In my free time, I love to paint and take walks in the woods. I am looking forward to bringing positive energy to your pets lives!

Alexis Duecker, Pet Caregiver My name is Alexis, and I am excited to join City of Paws Pet Care, and honored to spend time with your pet! My family has rescued many dogs over the years, including Darla and Sake, the sweetest pitbull ladies in PA; Rudy, the happiest hiker in our family (pictured here, on my lap to the right); Gumbeaux, a Chihuahua mix (and my personal spirit animal); George (on the ground), and Pepper (the Chihuahua featured here). I love and respect all animals, and have been happily vegan since 2012. Spending time with animals, of any and every kind, brings me genuine joy. When not at work, I love to read short stories, journal, practice hot yoga, daydream, and whip up vegan delicacies. While I do not currently have pets of my own, I hope to one day own several dogs, including a wire-haired Dachshund and a blue pit. In the meantime, I look forward to sharing my love of animals with each of the pets City of Paws serves.

Sophie Brooks, Pet Caregiver My name is Sophie and I’m excited to join the City of Paws team as a Pet Caregiver! Caring for animals has been one of the biggest passions in my life ever since I was a young girl asking all my neighbors if I could help walk their dogs. Since then I’ve always tried to find ways to give back to the animal community when possible, as they provide us so much love and comfort and deserve the same. Over the years I’ve taken in a few small companions of my own - Waffles and Sunday the cats, Louis the guinea pig, and Pascal the chameleon - and I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies as well!

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure our client’s pets are loved and cared for with their safety, health and contentment in mind at all times. At City of Paws Pet Care, the pets we care for will receive loving attention and individual, customized care provided by a team of trained pet sitters. We are committed to following science-based, positive reinforcement training methods, and will never use or recommend the use of aversive training techniques or tools. Our promise is to provide loving, reliable and consistent care that positively impacts the lives of pets and their owners.

Our Training Stance

City of Paws Pet Care stands behind the Force-Free, Fear-Free, Pain-Free training methodologies and techniques approved and promoted by the Pet Professional Guild. This means that we will never use or recommend the use of aversive tools and techniques, such as shock collars, prong collars, choke collars, and other means of instilling force, fear and/or pain on any animal. We believe in using and promoting positive reinforcement methods of training through the use of tasty treats, which encourages learning for the dog with long lasting effects. While we are not dog trainers, we can and will come armed with treats on walks if it helps your dog perfect loose leash walking skills!
